Perseid Prophecies Issue 2: Summer 2024

On Monday of this week, July 1st, the second issue of Perseid Prophecies was released. I’m especially excited about this issue as it features Perseid‘s very first original short stories submitted by authors.

If you’re not familiar with Perseid Prophecies, allow me to give you a bit of an introduction. I love short stories, especially those of the weird fiction, science fiction, fantasy, and horror genres. And, as you know, I am a writer of many of them. As such, I know first hand how difficult it can be to get something published. It feels like there’s always more room for magazines, given the vast number of people submitting to the existing ones.

So, it only seemed natural to create a space where I could support my fellow writers and lift up their work. And even if I can’t pay and have a small audience right now, it has to start somewhere, and hopefully with talented writers sharing their craft, I’ll be able to grow.

It also serves as a place where I can air some of my grievances, opinions, and hot takes on the genres I love, and the content that fits into them.

So, with that in mind, why not swing over to the Perseid Prophecies website and download a free copy of the Summer 2024 issue and support the authors with your readership (or subscribe to help me reach a point where I can offer those authors support in the form of monetary compensation!)? And while you’re at it, check out my opinion on canon in science fiction pop culture: Canon: How Important is it, Really?
