I’m keeping things short this week, because in 48 hours from writing this, we will be in San Diego and there is still a lot to do!
But, to give you at least a little something this week, here are the odds and ends to my impromptu Alien cosplay!

Basically all the credit for the uniform goes to my beautiful, talented, and incredibly patient wife. She added the pink piping, cut the sleeves, and used the scraps to create the rectangle (which I always assumed was supposed to be for a nametag even though none of the characters wear one there), the pen thingy, and the the little squares on the chest just below each shoulder–a detail I was completely ready to ignore! All I did was sew on a few buttons and iron on the patches, which were purchased on Etsy. Leave a comment if you want the specific vender.
Additionally, both the red rank pin and the chestburster were 3D printed.
I’ve got another, unadulterated white undershirt that I’m going to wear in the morning/afternoon, then I’ll switch to the chestburster for the evening, haha!
I can also now announce that my wife, Jessie Raye, will be part of the “Supersuits: From Concept to Reality” panel on Friday at 1:00, moderated by the incredibly talented Doug Jones!

So, if you also happen to be attending, and are interested in how the suits on your favorite superhero shows like Titans and The Boys are conceived and created, swing by and say hi!
And stay tuned for next week, we’ll I’ll very likely have tons of photos to share!
