I’ve got my head so full of developmental edits for Gas Giant Gambit this week, I thought I’d do something simple for today’s blog. So, just for funsies, here are my top ten writing career bucket list items!

In no particular order:

• Sell books in a booth at a comic book or sci-fi convention (SDCC would be the absolute best!).
• Win a Hugo, Nebula, or Saturn Award.
• Be someone’s favorite author.
• Have a novel turned into a show or movie.
• Appear as an invited panelist at a comic book or sci-fi convention.
• Do a book signing event people show up for.
• Break out of indie filmmaking and write on a big budget project.
• Have a film I wrote screened at Cannes (or even TiFF).
• Become successful enough that I can make writing fiction my full-time job.
• Create stories and characters readers or viewers make fan-art of.
