Perseid Prophecies Issue 7: Summer 2025

It’s the first of July, which means the summer issue of my speculative fiction magazine Perseid Prophecies is out (and a happy Canada Day for my fellow canuckleheads)!

I’m really proud of this issue. We hit a record for most submissions ever, and I’ve decided to expand the magazine from four submitted stories to six. Plus the usual classic tale from the public domain, a science fact article, and my Raye’s Rant editorial.

This quarter’s Rant is titled “Fear(Hope)ful Summer,” and I reflect a little on the state of the world, fiction’s place in it, and the man that wrote the editorial page that inspired Raye’s Rants, Stan Lee.
